I love my mom...

.. but sometimes, she drives me NUTS.

Mom.  If you read this, please understand that I am your daughter and I love you.  But sometimes, YOU DRIVE ME NUTS.  OHHH my gosh.

This is not meant to be mean or b!tchy or anything ... it's almost supposed to be funny.

As some of you already know, my house is super duper far away from campus.  It's about a mile away.  And normally, I just put up with this sort of thing and go with it, but in this sweltering 100some F degree heat, I just can't even handle walking back from my house to a specific intersection (yes, my mom only meets me at one specific intersection), let alone when I have sh!t tons of stuff to carry with me.

My mom is not that great at navigating.  When she learns of one way to go somewhere, she'll almost always take that way.  She is terrible with one-ways and detours and all that stuff.  It is so hard for me to get her to come pick me up at a different destination in town, even if I can give her directions.  She always gets frustrated with me and wants me to walk to that one damned intersection in central campus because it's easy for her.

Okay ... I'm sorry ... but YOU'RE IN AN AIR CONDITIONED CAR!  I am WALKING outside in the sweltering heat.  Yes, I would appreciate it if you drove the extra .5-1 mile(s) to pick me up.  Is it really that difficult?  Gosh.

ON TOP of the unbearable heat and my mom's inability to be geographically flexible (yes, that's what I'm calling it), the annual art fair is in town right now.  Now, I do appreciate the art fair and I have made a point to go every single year.  Now that I'm older and I don't live directly on campus, I am a bit annoyed because the traffic is a major clusterf*ck and all of the major streets are closed.  Not a huge deal for me because I know how to circumvent all that; however, it is super irritating when I can't direct my mom worth sh!t.  Hahah.

Yesterday, after telling her to pretty please pick me up from my house because I have some stuff I want to move back home, she reluctantly agrees.  To my utter annoyance, instead of pulling up in the driveway, she parallel parks ACROSS the street, sees me, and just sits there.  Then when I open the door, she starts laughing at me because I have so much stuff that I had to make two trips.

WHAT THE FRIGG.  "WHY would you park HERE?!??" I ask her.

"Oh, because we have to go down the road this way when we leave and I thought it would be easier."

WHAT THE FFFFFFF@#$!@#$!

DUDE.  YOU COULD HAVE JUST PULLED UP AND THEN BACKED OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY to make it just THAT much easier for me to carry ALL that stuff and load the car!  BLARGHHHHH.  OHHH my gosh.  All that to avoid backing up and turning around?!??

*facepalm.  =_= That is all.

Also, everyone should look forward to a photo update from my trip to the motherland!  :D  Coming soon.
